Formary Works
Built for the way life really works.
Formary Works creates practical digital tools and resources intended to help people manage real-life tasks and systems. The work is deliberately narrow: take an ordinary job that households actually have to do, and build something usable for it.
The first product is the Family Budget Operating System — a Microsoft Excel workbook for household financial planning and tracking. Formary Works is currently pre-launch, and products are not yet available for purchase.

How we intend to work
Start from a real task
We aim to build for jobs households already have — paying bills, planning a month, keeping records — rather than inventing a process to adopt.
Aim for usable
Our intention is that a tool can be picked up and used without specialist training.
Avoid unnecessary complexity
We try to leave out anything that adds steps without adding clarity.
Yours to adjust
Where a tool uses lists and names, we intend for them to belong to the person using it. In FBOS, categories, income sources, payment methods, and Paid By names are customizable.
Documented plainly
We describe what a product does, in the words of what it does, and nothing beyond that.
Honest about status
Pre-launch means pre-launch. We state what is established, what is still pending, and what is not available yet.
